95-Gallon Poly-carts

Buying recycled products also helps the environment. Residents can purchase 95-gallon Poly-carts for yard waste and refuse. These are made from #2 recycled plastic and are available through the Solid Waste Management Division at a cost of $60.00 when picked up at the Recycling Center or $70.00 when staff deliver. Carts can only be ordered for delivery at the Council Bluffs Public Health Department 328-4666. The carts can hold up to 200 pounds. They are easy to roll out to the curb and designed for automated dumping. Poly-carts have a ten-year pro-rated warranty and are repaired by Solid Waste Management Staff if damaged by the garbage contractor or product failure.

Champlin Tire, Recycling Inc. makes park benches and tables from recycled tires and plastics. Scrap tires, milk jugs and pop bottles, as well as other forms post-consumer and post-industrial waste, are the main ingredients of this product.
